Choosing a side

In my opinion I think Michael Vick should be allowed back in the NFL because no other player can be compared to him. He is a good player with amazing skills and a good personality. Yes Vick did mess up but people can always clean their mess up. It makes me angry that players all over the NFL are convicted with felony, illegal substance abuse and illegal drugs and they still are off the hook only damage they get is a few game suspension and some money taken away. My strongest arguments are that if Michael Vick does not get to play in the NFL he has other places to turn. He can always go to Canadian Football League or Euro Football League. Either way he will be making passes. So why not give Michael Vick another chance of showing fans, media, and the NFL that he can redeem himself by doing good deeds. My other arguments is that people like Adam "Pacman" Jones, O.J Simpson, Tank Johnson and Asante Samuel are off the hook from convicted felonies, steroid abuse, and marijuana abuse. Its just not fair for Michael Vick. I intend on convincing other people to agree on my position by telling them that Vick has a chance to repair his life and redeem himself to make him a star again. If Vick does join CFL or EFL he would dominate the game because both leagues are considered minor league football to the NFL. Even though the Atlanta Falcons wont take Vick there are alot of struggling teams that will take him for low money such as the Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs, Arizona Cardinals etc. Some of my concerns of not being able to argue my position is that If none of these leagues won't take him he still has alot of money to go back and doing criminal activities. The Atlanta Falcons only took the $22 million signing bonus from his contract extension in December 2006. His rookie contract a record breaking for the largest contract given to a rookie which was a 6 year $62 million with a $3 million signing bonus. Maybe if the NFL denies him back into the league he has opinion of Michael Vick he should be allowed back in the NFL.

Cons

If Michael Vick gets denied for coming back to the NFL there can be some good to it. He can save himself, friends, family and the Atlanta Falcons organization from humiliation. He can be used as an example for all professional players that if they get convicted with a felony that they will not be let go easily. Just like O.J Simpson a Hall of Fame running back for his era even he can be pressed down by media, ex-fans, and by citizens. So if young players can look up to Vick they can see how everything can go down the drain in a split second then they can turn their life around and do good deeds. So if Vick does get a life time suspension maybe he can think about his wrongs and improve the community by donating money to Animal Hospitals, animal shelters and other animal relating charity.

Pros

If Michael Vick does not get permission to be back in the NFL there can be some disappointment. Vick was known as being an incredible quarterback with great rushing speed, throwing power and accuracy. Although Vick pleaded guilty for dog-fighting and having marijuana in his system he can always improve his life. Already Vick has taken classes for cruelty of animal fighting. He even scored high on one of the tests of how animal fighting can effect animals and other people. He also admitted to dog fighting so that means he wants to be honest and cooperate with law enforcements so that other organizations can be shut down. If Vick does not comeback that may effect the profit for the Atlanta Falcons. Most fans show up just to see Vick play and show his amazing skills. But if he gets a lifetime suspension fans would stop coming to games, the Falcons are 1-4 in the NFC south and that shows that the falcons need Michael Vick.
Adam "Pacman" Jones has been charged for assaulting a stripper and felony vandalism at a night club. For his actions he has only been fined and an 8 game suspension from the 2007 season. This can be just as bad because Jones threatened to kill a security guard and assaulted a woman. Vick volunteered to take down future organizations when Jones wanted to compete with the NFL by joining an Ultimate Fighting Contest which involved fighting with bare hands and wrestling. Vick knows what he did wrong and accepts his punishment but he should have a less harsh punishment because Pacman Jones actions are just as bad and he did not get a bad punishment.

Should Michael Vick be allowed back in the NFL

Over the summer Michael Vick pleaded guilty for operating a dog-fighting corporation. Michael Vick should be allowed back in the NFL. I understand dogfighting is illegal but that shouldnt effect his time in the NFL. He should serve up his jail time then train for the off-season. The NFL is angry because Vick was convicted with such a violent act. But on TV there are shows that do inhumane things to animals and even humans.
Vick also got convicted of marajuana in his system. I think that is more serious than dog-fighting because dog-fighting can be prevented but when professional players have illegal drugs in their system that can be harmful to themselves and people around them and there is no stopping because players get paid alot of money. Michael Vick still has a chance to redeem himself by being cooperative and trustful to investigators so they can prevent future dog fighting.
